It isn't something God ever desired. Mankind rebelled and brought death into the world. I have been reminded of this reality a lot this week. Celebrities have been in the news because of their passing. We are reminded that everyone is vulnerable. We have had 2 deaths in the church family and that reminds me how death isn't a distant problem, but a reality to those close and distant to us. Theresa Rodrigues' mother Fernanda passed away on Sunday. Shirley Phayre passed away last Thursday. Please take the opportunity to pray for these 2 families as they grieve the loss of their loved one. Death reminds us that life is short. The good news is that those who have trusted Christ for eternity have an incredible future with Christ in heaven for all eternity. Death also reminds us that our time is limited to pray for and share with those who don't know Jesus. We have a message the world needs, our friends need, and without it they face an eternity separated from God experiencing His wrath because they have rejected His grace. May we rejoice in the salvation we have in Christ. May we share this great message of salvation and pray that God will use us to change lives now and for all eternity. Death reminds us that life is short.
